Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is a famous American actor, singer, and former model. She was the main female vocalist for Apollonia 6 and co-starred in Prince's film Purple Rain from 1984. It was among the many female artists who benefited of Prince's involvement during the 1980s. She was born Patricia Kotero in Santa Monica California in 1959, her professional career began as a model actress towards the end of the 1970s and included an appearance in the television series CHiPS. As the female protagonist of Prince's Purple Rain was her first part from the year 1984. Prince changed the girl's name at this point. She was replaced by Vanity by the female group Vanity 6 for her role in the movie with Apollonia 6 replacing Vanity.
